Our Process

Here's how the process works:

Step 1- Initial Consultation: Tell us about your dream home. Show us the pictures and sketches you’ve been drooling over. Or print out and fill in our Home Needs and Utilization InventorY. It will help you think about what features you want and need in your new home and what it will look like. The completed inventory will help us know what you want, and will help speed the process along. Upon your initial consultation whether in person or over the internet, we will ask for a $100 non-refundable deposit to be applied to the cost of your completed plans.

Step 2- Preliminary Plan and Elevation Drawings: When we have your preliminary plans ready for you to see, you’ll get one complete set of prints including the floor plans and exterior elevation drawings. On this set of plans you should mark any changes or questions you have in red ink. Then we’ll make your revisions and complete your plans. You’ll be given another opportunity to proof these plans and make any final revisions before the final sets are printed.

Step 3: Once the final revisions are made we will produce your final print sets needed to get price quotes, building permits and actually build your new home. Complete print sets include 4 elevation drawings (front, rear, left and right), the foundation plan (basement, slab or crawl space), the floor plan with all framing dimensions, and a typical cross section drawing. Other detail drawings or sections are included as needed at the discretion of the draftsman.

And all this is included in the Custom Plan price of 30¢ per square foot for single story homes or 35¢ per square foot for multiple story homes. Finished living area added to a basement plan will be charged at an additional rate of 15¢ per square foot.

Further Changes and Consultation: $75 per hour

If you require further changes after your final prints are finished, we’ll assist you at an affordable hourly rate. You may need to make some changes before construction begins. Maybe you want different window sizes, or want to move a wall. Whatever your need, we can help.

8 ½ X 11, ANSI Super B size 13 X 19, ANSI C Size 17 X 22,

And we can email your plans in pdf, jpeg and other formats at your request.
